Of all the people that I've just picked up an instrument and jammed with, and actually made sounds that really just failed to suck, and without any prior practice, I must place this guy at the top of the stack. He's a magic man with a six string. He's got all the stage presence of Walter Becker, the same sense of humor as Robin Williams and writes some damn good music too. I am fearless backing up this guy. He has perfected the art of performance directing. I don't even need to know the chords and this guy makes it all work. It's the jazz vibe in rock-n-roll format. I can't remember the first time I played with Jeremy Donaldson, but it must have been at a party where people were just informally jammin'. That happend often. And through that I've learned a song or two, so about once a year, when he gets the urge, he invites some of his musical friends (myself included) to his home town where we take some local establishment by force and make them listen to our show.
